2 P & P Weekly Blog for 9-15 March 2024
Some people question whether/how God speaks, especially during times of confusion, loss, fear, doubt, hurt, or grief. Just as Jesus whispers into the soul to save us, He communicates volumes if we will tune in to the earth’s words, lyrics, and praise. The Bible is the inerrant Word of God. However, creation echoes its message into our hearts (through our senses), everyday, if we are but listening, watching, touching the wonders that He has made.
Silently—
The sun rises in rosy golden colors.
A rainbow forms after a shower.
A moonbeam shines through blossomed boughs;
Snow gently drifts o'er field and mountain.
Quietly—
There is a whisper in the leaves.
The rain pitter-patters on the windowpane.
A river weaves a path through a meadow strewn with wildflowers;
There is a brush of the Spirit in the changing seasons.
Temperately—
The waves crescendo, ebb, and flow.
The wind howls beautifully,
Hauntingly.
The birdsong creates a symphony;
The sound of our worship rises,
Toward heaven.
Loudly—
The thunder quakes.
A lion roars.
A waterfall drowns out all sound,
But its own with its majestic tribute.
The saints and angels give glory to God.
“Heavens, sprinkle from above, and let the skies shower righteousness. Let the earth open up so that salvation will sprout and righteousness will spring up with it. I, Yahweh, have created it.” Isaiah 45:8 (HCSB)
The Word of God is written in every sunrise, moonbeam, and in everything that we see, hear, feel and touch in every day. It is the epistle to our souls that His Spirit is moving and shaping new things in the earth, and within our hearts. Creation speaks of God’s love, grace, mercy, joy, hope, and peace.
