“Ah, Lord God! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you.” Jeremiah 32:17 ESV
Doug and I had gone away for a few days for my birthday last year. We stayed at a small cabin in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, in the country. This was our view each morning—a calm landscape that God had painted as a winter wonderland with His majestic splendor of watercolors.
The sky was lit
In rainbow shades,
As the morning was broken,
O’er a snowy glade.
Shades of gold, rose,
And cerulean blue
Opened as a canopy,
Drawing my eyes upward, Lord, to You.
They flowed outward
To cover 180 degrees,
Touching the atmosphere
All of creation and every tree.
God’s glory was beautifully on display.
Time for you to Pause with a sense of Wonder: Psalm 33:6, Isaiah 40:28, Genesis 1-2:2, Colossians 1:16-17, Ezekiel 1:28, Psalm 148 & Revelation 4:3
I love how all of creation points to God’s grandeur and holiness. Each morning gives us fresh glimpses of His radiance and faithfulness. Precious are the signs of our Lord, as Elohim, Creator. We are wise to pause and appreciate His wonders in our everyday world, for they are a foretaste of His eternal, heavenly glory to our souls.
From God’s Heart:
Dear Child, I often set before you sights like this—rainbow sunrises and sunsets—so that you pause to behold My glory and majesty. How many have you noticed? How many of them have you missed by being too busy? How many of My creations do you walk right by without giving Me any praise or gratitude for? It saddens My heart, beloved, when you miss—Me. It brings Me great delight when you bask in Who I AM. I hold you in My hands—like I do all of creation. Nothing is outside of My notice or attention. Be still and know Me. I have so much of Myself to share with your inner being. Let My Word enfold you with its promises. Search for Me—and you will find eternity in your heart. Keep looking up and into My eyes. I love you with a 360-degree kind of embrace. Your Abba Daddy
