This tree is growing right in our own neighborhood. And one evening as I looked up, I loved how it appeared that the nightly stars, seemed to adorn its limbs. It looked like it had been strung with lights, as if it was Christmas-time … yet it was a natural effect, created by light, shadows, and angles.
It drew my eye toward the heavens, the Maker of the starry canopy. In this moment of stillness, I sought an Audience of One—in a prayer of praise—for this special sight. His illumination of this tree, also lit my heart, with His love.
Dear Jehovah,
When I am still and in communion with You, I find peace. I find Your Spirit attending me with every breath. And with it, comes Your comfort and rest; thank You, for being as close as a whisper to my heart.
You know my every thought—yet You long for my voice to praise You, to worship, to bring my needs and requests before Your throne, in a gift of submission. It is this holy conversation that joins earth and heaven—time and space—for all eternity. It is a promise to my soul to know that You are always listening, attentive to my first cry, or utterance of joy, or greatest need.
You are like my North Star, ever guiding me. For without You, I am nothing; I have nothing. But with You, I can do anything, because You go with me, as my Savior and Friend. And as I pray, to an Audience of One, I am assured that Your Spirit joins my heart to Yours, thus, my words and thoughts must be amplified throughout the halls of heaven, to give You my highest praise. Amen.

The Lord says that the number of stars are greater than the grains of sand on the seashore. How does the fact that He knows these numbers and calls the stars by name, bring you comfort—that He knows your every need and your whereabouts at all times?
“He counts the number of the stars; he gives names to all of them. Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; his understanding is unlimited.” Psalm 147:4-5 (LEB)
