Kitten’s First Snow

2 P&P Weekly Blog for week of 21-27 December 2024

Gracie looking up at the falling snow!
Gracie looking up at the falling snow!

Last week, we had our first skiff of snow.  This happened to be our kitty Gracie’s first snowfall. I loved how entranced she was with the wonder of it. And I thought it was precious how her whiskers appeared to overlap my face. It seems she is encouraging you to look up—into the eyes of our Creator—just as I often do!

Dear Lord, I take pleasure in the beauty of the simplest and most complex of Your creations—like snow. How beautiful it is to see it fall from heaven like a miracle. How amazing to see it represent purity like the grace that You offer to cover our sins. And how amazing to see winter’s covering as Your righteousness, a gift to the soul surrendered as Your son/daughter. Thank You, Jesus, for giving me delights that help me delight myself in You. Amen.

Revelation 4:11 ESV: “Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.”

Colossians 1:16-17 ESV: “For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. 17 And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.”

Who knew that a snowy day could give us a wide-eyed, overlapping view of our incredible Lord and Savior’s creative majesty? Are you looking up to behold all that He’s done and made and the ways He’s blessing your life daily?

Look up into the eyes of Jesus. Get beholding the wonder of Who He is!
