How God Moves

God's Spirit can move us--to fill us, to give us His joy when we can't find our own. That's how He moves!
How God Moves

I was playing in the fountain,

Like a kid,

This week—

Running, dancing, moving,

To escape,

—The heat.

Can you see from the photos …

Joy’s written on my face?

That’s what the Spirit provides,

When the Living Water,

Moves,

On the inside.

Life isn’t always perfect. Sometimes we find ourselves waiting, ill, grieving, or not clearly understanding something that God is allowing in our lives … yet if we get outside, and find something of His beauty … we can also find … joy.

The joy of the Lord is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10)—on the good days, the easy days. But this verse is even more true, when we are struggling. It’s then, that God’s Spirit fills us. It’s in these moments that He becomes—our Rock, our Comforter, our Burden Bearer. He pours in, whatever we are lacking. He brings the fount—of hope, happiness, solace, healing.

What’s your need today? Maybe you need to find a fountain, and dance before Him. See if His Spirit doesn’t move in your heart … if not your feet.

God moves—not always at our pace—but with a fount of His presence—to fill us, encourage us, strengthen us, and bring us the gift of joy.
