Blanket of ...

2 P & P Weekly blog for 18-24 November 2023

A blanket of ... fallen leaves.
A blanket of ... fallen leaves.

One day,

There was a blanket of fallen leaves,

Strewn like jewels.

Crimson lay like a carpet,

Cloaking the ground,

With childhood memories,

Of play and daydreams.

The next,

There was a blanket,

Of freshly fallen purest white snow.

Soft, light, crystalline flakes,

Had drifted down in the afternoon,

And overnight,

To create a wonderland,

For young and old, alike.

There was a blanket of …

God’s grace and majesty in each.

There was a blanket of …

His mercy shown.

Because it was as if Autumn,

And Winter collided.

Back to back,

We saw a glimpse of His power,

Of His wonder,

And I was,

Once again,

In awe of who our God is!

May a blanket of …

His love, joy, and peace,

Surround you today,

I pray. Amen.

Psalm 33:22, Romans 15:13, Psalm 90:14, Philippians 4:7, Isaiah 55:12

Even if you cannot feel God’s presence … know that He is near. To me, there is no doubt that He exists. The blanket of … leaves, snow, His love, forgiveness, comfort, healing, and provision … are readily seen. And His Spirit is readily experienced by those who seek to find.
