We were out on a hike this week, to find this: an eagle was perched high up in a tree, amidst a multitude of branches and limbs. In fact, they were so dense around him, that you could not get a clean picture. Yet even as I tried from this angle and that, we came and went, it was virtually impossible to see him clearly. However, if you were at his level, the perspective would be quite different.
My point? Sometimes we look at our lives like my viewing of this eagle—from only our purview. Many things catch our attention, many things obscure our line of sight, or we can feel like no one sees us, clearly. Yet God above, is aware of our every move, our every breath, our every need. He is aware of the whole scene, while we see only, part.
God sees and knows us, fully, completely. He loves us, unconditionally. He knows when we rise, when we sleep, where we perch ... and when we need a little looking after. He is always aware of us, even when we—are out on a limb.
So if He’s asking you to take a risk, take a leap of faith, or a flight of following—go. For He promises that those who trust Him, will rise on wings like eagles, if they are walking in His grace and love and mercy.
Amidst the limbs, this eagle had an amazing view. Here, he also found protection. The same is true of those who rest ‘neath the pinions of the Lord.
